Accessibility Statement

At Lockwood Press, we are committed to making our content as accessible as possible within the limits of academic and scholarly publishing.

Due to the complexity of some individual titles, there may be exceptions where not all accessibility features can be fully implemented. In such cases, we still mark as many elements as possible as accessible and only resort to publishing a nonaccessible title in exceptional cases.

We continuously monitor advances in publishing tools and accessibility standards and will update our practices where feasible.

We also strive to ensure that our website complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 Level AA), and we continuously review and improve its accessibility. If you encounter any issues while navigating our website, we welcome your feedback and will do our best to address them promptly.

If you experience difficulties accessing our content or would like to request a specific format, please contact us at admin@lockwoodpress.com.

All our books are offered in PDF (since 2010) and EPUB (since 2026) formats. Book chapters can be downloaded individually in PDF format. All PDF and EPUB files are downloadable from our distribution website (isdistribution.com)

Journals

Journals hosted by Lockwood Press on behalf of academic societies are available in PDF format from our journal website. All PDFs can be downloaded  and viewed in a PDF viewer.

European Accessibility Act

New book titles published from July 1, 2026, onward are available in accessible formats.

These include:

  • PDF/UA-compliant files for the entire book as well as each chapter

These publications include:

  • Alternative texts for figures

  • Semantic markup of all structural elements (e.g., titles, headings, paragraphs, footnotes)

  • Accessibility information in the metadata (PDF metadata)

This means that our publications meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the standards for accessible documents (ISO 14289-1 / PDF/UA).
