Founded in 2010, Lockwood Press is a publisher of works of intellectual distinction that further scholarly investigation, advance interdisciplinary inquiry, stimulate public debate, educate both within and outside the classroom, and enhance cultural life. By publishing scholarly works that contribute to a global understanding of human affairs, Lockwood Press aids in the pursuit of intellectual distinction. Lockwood Press publishes monographs, upper-level and supplemental classroom texts, reference works, and academic trade titles—as well as journals—on the languages, archaeology, history, religions, and cultures of the Near Eastern and eastern Mediterranean worlds from earliest antiquity through the Middle Ages. The Press also publishes a wide range of scholarly books on old- and new-world archaeology.
